One of our favorite things about modern fundraising is how much is spearheaded by “nerd culture”. Video game events, fan based incentives, and even genre-oriented in person fundraisers have been dominating successful fundraising for years. Beneath this success we see how all of these communities share a love for the ‘hero’s journey’ and look for little ways to be heroic in their daily lives. Either with a small donation here and there or a kind act whenever they have the opportunity. We are here to celebrate these everyday heroes.
